Immediate Post-Treatment Care
Skin Reaction: After treatment, the skin may be red, swollen, and sometimes bruised at the injection sites. These effects will usually resolve naturally within a few days, but extensive bruising may take up to 2 weeks to resolve.
Keep it Clean: Keep the treated area clean.
Cool Compress: Some people may experience minor discomfort or slight bruising at the injection site. A cold pack can help reduce these symptoms. Apply a wrapped ice pack intermittently (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off) for the first 4 hours after your treatment.
What to Avoid in the First 24 Hours
Deodorant/Antiperspirant: Do not apply deodorant or antiperspirant (especially those containing aluminium) to the treated area until the following morning.
Shaving: Do not shave the treated area for 24 hours post-treatment.
Extremes of Temperature: Avoid any extremes of temperature; a tepid shower or bath is preferable to hot.
Strenuous Exercise: Avoid exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment. This helps prevent the spread of the product from the injection site to non-target muscles.
Swimming: Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
Excessive Alcohol: No excessive alcohol on the day of the treatment.
Rubbing or Massaging: Do not rub or massage the treated area, as this could cause the product to move to an unintended area.
Other Treatments: Do not have any other treatments in the same area.
Pressure: Avoid applying pressure to the treated areas.
Lying down: Do not lie flat or face down for at least 4 hours after treatment. Remain upright for 4 hours after treatment, this can help to reduce product migration.
What to Avoid in the Following Weeks
Underarm Hair Removal: Avoid any underarm hair removal procedures, such as laser or electrolysis, for at least 2 weeks post-treatment.ontact
Certain Treatments: For one week following your treatment, do not have any of the following treatments: Micro-dermabrasion, Electrolysis, Laser treatment or any electrical beauty treatments.
Aluminium: Avoid underarm deodorant containing aluminium for 1-2 weeks if possible.
Long-Term Care and Maintenance
Hydration: Drinking water helps to maintain your overall health and also aids in the recovery process.
Follow-Up Treatments: For sustained results, regular follow-up treatments are recommended, typically every 4 to 12 months, based on your response. Regular consultations will help tailor your long-term care plan, ensuring your treatment continues to meet your needs effectively.
Managing Potential Side Effects
