EndyMed Intensif – Aftercare Instructions
Thank you for choosing The Doctors Laser Clinic for your EndyMed Intensif treatment. This advanced microneedling radiofrequency treatment effectively rejuvenates the skin. To ensure the best possible outcome and a smooth recovery, please follow these aftercare instructions carefully. Remember that individual responses may vary, so if you have any specific concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Please note, this advice applies specifically to patients who have had an EndyMed Intensif treatment.
1. Immediate Post-Treatment Care
Sunburnt Skin: Directly after the treatment, you will likely appear as if you have sunburnt skin. This is normal.
Warmth & Tightness: It is usual for your skin to feel warm and tighter than usual. This sensation is entirely normal, and the redness should decrease after a few hours.
Keep it Clean: The skin may appear slightly red, similar to mild sunburn, but this subsides quickly. Patients are advised to keep the treated area clean.
2. First 72 Hours: Gentle Care

| Gentle Cleansing | Before washing your skin, make sure that your hands are clean. Then, you should use a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water to cleanse the treated area. After washing, gently pat your skin dry. |
| Hydrate | Your skin might feel drier than usual after treatments. An ideal solution is a hyaluronic acid serum, as it can restore the skin’s natural hydration. We can recommend suitable products. |
| Mineral Makeup (Day Following Treatment) | Mineral make-up can be worn the day following treatment; however, it’s best to wait 48 hours, if possible. |
| Postpone Makeup Application | After your procedure, it is best to avoid wearing makeup for 72 hours. Keeping your skin clean will eliminate the risk of irritation and acne. |
3. Products to Avoid (Until Fully Healed – Generally 1 Week)
- Acid-Based Products: You must avoid acid-based products (e.g., glycolic acid, salicylic acid).
- Exfoliants: Avoid using any type of exfoliating product or scrub.
- Retinol: Do not use any products containing retinol (Vitamin A).
- Vitamin C: Avoid Vitamin C serums.
- Facial Scrubs: Avoid all facial scrubs.
- “Active” Skincare: Avoid any “active” skincare products.
*You must avoid acid based products, exfoliants and retinol for 1 week or longer if micro crusting is still present. - A normal skin care regimen can be resumed once the skin has completely healed (generally 1 week following your treatment).
4. Sun Exposure & UV Protection
- Avoid Sun Exposure: It is important to avoid sun exposure and keep skin protected with SPF50 throughout your course of treatments.
- SPF 50 is Essential: SPF 50 must be worn daily, especially over 4 weeks post-treatment.
- Chemical-Free Sunscreen: If you must go in the sun during your daily routine, you can use a chemical-free sunscreen with at least 30 SPF. However, you should not apply it until 24 hours after the treatment.
5. Activities to Avoid (First 48-72 Hours)
- Avoid Exercise: Avoid exercise, swimming, hot showers, or any heat-inducing activities 48 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid Heat Treatments: You must avoid heat treatments for 24-48 hours.
- Avoid Shaving: Avoid shaving for at least 72 hours.
- Avoid Swimming: You must avoid swimming.
6. General Skincare & Precautions
- Do Not Rub, Scratch or Pick: Do not rub, scratch, or pick at your skin 5-7 days post-treatment.
- Keep the Area Clean: Post-treatment, patients are advised to keep the treated area clean.
7. What to Expect
- Redness: People should expect some redness for about seven days after the procedure.
- Bruising: Bruising will occur
- Peeling: and peeling for about seven days after the procedure, but this is normal and will subside.
8. Follow-Up & Communication
- Follow-Up Sessions: Follow-up sessions may be scheduled to maintain and enhance the results.
Additional Reminders
- Hydration: Staying hydrated is always beneficial for skin healing.
- There are no activity limitations after EndyMed but it is generally recommended to stay out of the sun, wear protective clothing, and use sunscreen if you must go outside.
