Pearly Penile Papules Treatment Norwich
If you suffer from pearly penile papules we can help. We have experience in dealing with this condition and it can be easily treated from our clinic in Poringland, Norwich.
What are Pearly Penile Papules?
Pearly penile papules (PPP) are small harmless growths that appear around the head of the penis. They often appear as tiny raised spots or lumps and, hence the name, are often likened to small pearls. The more common colour is white but they may appear as different shades such as pink or yellow. You may notice that the spots appear in maybe 1 or 2 rows on the side of the glans, but it is possible that you will see them on other parts of the penis. If you are experiencing this condition then the good news is that it is not a sexually transmitted disease, is not contagious, and is benign. As with any lesion(s) anywhere on the body, it is always a good idea to get them checked out, to rule out other conditions that may be not so contagious or benign.

How can we help with Pearly Penile Papules?
There is no medical reason for anything to be done about PPP as they are benign and harmless. It may be the case that they simply go away on their own. That being said, patients opt to have them removed for cosmetic reasons. They may be self-conscious or embarrassed by the papules, or they may have negative ideas about how others may view the condition. If this is the case with you and you wish to have the PPP removed then we have a few effective treatment options open to you.
The most effective treatment, for most patients, is a CO2 laser. We have one of the best CO2 devices on the market and have gleaned excellent results for the removal of all different types of skin lesions. Please get in touch to book a consultation and we will do our best to put your mind at ease.
