What is Arm Hair Removal?

Arm hair removal is a cosmetic procedure designed to reduce or eliminate unwanted hair on the arms permanently. This treatment targets hair follicles by utilising advanced laser technology, such as the Soprano Titanium, effectively hindering their growth capacity. It’s a popular choice for individuals seeking a long-term solution to manage excessive or undesirable arm hair, enhancing appearance and confidence.

Benefits of Laser Arm Hair Removal

Laser arm hair removal offers several advantages. Firstly, it provides a permanent reduction in hair growth, significantly decreasing the frequency of hair removal. This method is also less irritating to the skin than traditional methods like shaving or waxing. Using state-of-the-art lasers like the Soprano Titanium ensures a virtually pain-free experience, making it suitable for all skin types. Additionally, the treatment promotes smoother, silkier skin, free from the stubble associated with shaving.

Why arm hair removal?

At The Doctors Laser Clinic, our experienced laser practitioners use the Award Winning Soprano Titanium and Soprano Ice lasers to easily treat unwanted arm hair – in a quick, virtually pain-free procedure.

Both men and women can suffer from extreme hair on their arms. Whilst it’s often considered ‘normal’ for men and less common for women, such obvious hair can result in embarrassment and low self-esteem for both genders – especially during the summer months when arms are more likely to be on show!

With laser hair removal on your arms, you’ll have the freedom to step into whatever you’re most comfortable wearing without worrying about unsightly hair.

At The Doctors Laser Clinic, we use the very latest Soprano laser technology to administer effective and painless laser hair removal for all areas of the arms.

Up to 10 intense beams of light per second can be administered to the affected area with this innovative technology – resulting in maximum light absorption and follicle damage to the hairs. As the arms are generally flat in texture and uniform in appearance, the laser hair removal process to this area is likely to be simple, quick and pain-free.

Preparing for Your Arm Hair Removal Session

What to Do Before Your Appointment

To optimise the effectiveness of your laser hair removal session, avoid tanning or sun exposure for at least four weeks prior. Shaving the area a day before your appointment is recommended, but refrain from waxing or plucking, as these methods remove the hair root, which is necessary for laser targeting.

Skin Care Tips for Optimal Results

Before the session, ensure your skin is clean and free from lotions, creams, or deodorants. Hydrating your skin in the weeks following the treatment can enhance the laser’s effectiveness and aid recovery.

The Arm Hair Removal Procedure

Step-by-Step Guide to Our Arm Hair Removal Process

Our laser hair removal process begins with a consultation to understand your needs and skin type. During the treatment, the Soprano laser is passed over the arms, emitting light absorbed by the pigment in the hair. This light energy is converted to heat, damaging the hair follicles and inhibiting future growth.

Comfort and Safety Measures During the Procedure

Your comfort and safety are our top priorities. The Soprano laser system includes cooling mechanisms to protect the skin and minimise discomfort. Our trained professionals ensure the procedure is safe and effective, providing a comfortable experience throughout.

Aftercare and Maintenance

Post-treatment, it’s normal to experience slight redness or swelling, which typically subsides within a few hours. Avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen on the treated area. Gentle skin care products are recommended, and any specific aftercare instructions provided by our clinicians should be followed diligently.

Cost of Arm Hair Removal

The cost of arm hair removal varies based on the number of sessions required and the individual’s hair type. Our prices change on occasion and the latest price list can be found at the top of the page, in the menu bar.

A great service and the staff and the clinic are so welcoming and friendly. I had laser hair removal on my legs but I would definitely go for more treatments in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

During your consultation with us, we’ll answer any questions or concerns you may have.

One session of laser hair removal typically won’t take longer than an hour, but this depends on the specific areas receiving treatment.

Prior to actual treatment taking place, we offer a free test service in which a patch test is conducted a few days before the first treatment. This is to rule out any potential allergic reactions your skin may have.

Before arriving, we highly recommend shaving your chosen treatment area to prepare your skin for the laser. If hair is still present, pigment above the skin will absorb the light as opposed to the deeper follicles, causing the entire treatment process to be virtually ineffective.

Some other methods of administering laser hair removal can be painful due to short, sharp administration of light.

However, the Soprano technology we use here guarantees a virtually painless experience over all areas of skin. Its unique cooling mechanism ensures skin doesn’t sting or burn due to the laser’s heat, and outer layers of visible skin won’t be damaged.

Multiple treatments every 4-6 weeks are likely required to be entirely hair-free for a long period of time; hair must be treated at the correct point of its growth cycle to ensure maximum follicle damage.

If you’ve received treatment on a typically-exposed part of your body, we highly recommend staying out of the sun during the entire process of receiving laser hair removal treatments.

Skin may be slightly sensitive or red directly after treatment, but this is totally normal and should subside within 24-48 hours.
