The Doctor Led Medical Aesthetic and laser clinic
The clinic is run by three Norfolk-based family doctors, Dr Malcolm Willis, Dr Kathy Kestin and Dr Mini Nelson. We are highly experienced practitioners with extensive knowledge of dermatology, medical conditions, Anti-Wrinkle Injections and Aesthetics.

Dr Malcolm Willis
Clinic Director
With 13 years of experience in Cosmetic Medicine, he is very proud of the achievements of all his staff and their high standards of patient care.
Through a long career in Medicine, his enthusiasm for Dermatology, including time as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at UEA, was the basis for the establishment of this highly successful clinic in 2010.
Malcolm leads a Multi-disciplinary Team that provides in excess of 60 different treatment procedures so that every patient knows they will only see the best Practitioner for their particular problem. His favourite specialisms are Botox, Fillers and Lasers.
Dr Kathy Kestin
Clinic Director
Kathy was a full-time GP in rural Norfolk for 24 years. She enjoyed teaching Medical Students, has a background in anaesthesia, working in remote areas and has an interest in Aesthetic Medicine. Married to Dr Malcolm Willis and together with Dr Mini Nelson, they formed The Doctors Laser Clinic in 2010.
Kathy oversaw the move into purpose-converted premises in 2015, setting up the current aesthetics clinic in Poringland. She has an interest in women’s health and uses the Femilift Laser for vaginal rejuvenation, tightening and relieving mild stress urinary incontinence.
Sarah
Senior Nurse Aesthetic Practitioner
As our Senior Nurse Aesthetic Practitioner, Sarah is now in her 10th Year with us. The life and soul of our party, she is hugely popular with her patients and regularly tops our clinician’s list of 5-star reviews. She has just completed a Masters’s Course at The University of Suffolk to be a fully Independent Nurse Prescriber.
Her passion is facial aesthetics using fillers, non-surgical blepharoplasty and Laser Treatments for various skin conditions. Sarah continues working on the NHS’s frontline as a part-time Practice Nurse.
Joolia Gilvey
Independent Aesthetic Practitioner
Joolia Gilvey is an award-winning aesthetician with 6 years of NHS, Private & independent nursing experience. A UEA graduate, she currently holds a senior nurse position as a plastic surgery link nurse in a private hospital. She is a certified trainer for the Teoxane range of products. Joolia has uncompromisingly high standards with an eye for preserving her patient’s individuality, taking a ‘less is more’ approach to preserving anatomy and dynamic facial movement.
Joolia specialises in anti-wrinkle, dermal filler, micro-needling, wow fusion, chemical skin resurfacing and plasma therapies. She keeps continuously up to date with the latest evidence-based techniques leading to highly successful outcomes for her patients. Approachable and understanding, she listens to your concerns, offering an individual step-by-step approach to achieving safe, predictable, outstanding results.
Sharon
Senior Laser Technician
Sharon joined the clinic in the Summer of 2015, and her journey since then has been inspirational. She attained a Merit in her Anatomy and Physiology Diploma, followed by a superb pass at Level 4 BTEC in Aesthetic Laser Light and Associated Therapies. Along with two of her colleagues here, she is now one of only a handful of experienced, skilled technicians in Norfolk with a Level 5 qualification. Her energy, laughter, enthusiasm and love for her job are legendary.
Sharon is an indispensable member of this very close, highly coherent team with its absolute focus on quality and the patient. Her specialisms are fat freezing and skin rejuvenation (including stretch marks) using Radiofrequency, ultrasound and other energy devices.
Helen
Senior Laser Technician
Helen’s irrepressible humour, empathy, professional attitude and amazing patient skills mean she always gets amazing feedback and great results. Having joined us in 2016, Helen discovered her extraordinary talent for using lasers to treat a variety of skin conditions and blemishes, as well as doing Laser Hair Removal.
We are very proud that Helen and her two other colleagues are among the few Laser Technicians in East Anglia qualified to Level 5 BTEC in Light and Energy Based Therapies. Her particular forte is Skin Rejuvenation using IPL, CO2 Fractional Ablative Resurfacing and Non-ablative Nd:YAG. She closely supports Dr Malcolm Willis, doing ablative laser treatments on lumps, bumps and blemishes. In addition, there is always Laser Hair Removal as an encore!
Jayne
Senior Laser Technician - Purser
Having joined us in 2012, Jayne was the first of our technicians to gain the formal BTEC qualification in Laser, Light and Associated Therapies after achieving a Merit in her Anatomy and Physiology Diploma. Her background as a Royal Navy gunner for 7 years is slightly eccentric, but that life experience explains why she is the most highly and prolifically rated of all our exceptional team of laser ladies.
Along with her two other Technician Colleagues, Jayne is one of those very rare Practitioners in East Anglia who are qualified at BTEC Level 5 in Laser Therapies. A hard worker, she is blessed with the most wonderful sense of humour that she uses to great effect. She holds the NHS Contract for the treatment of transgender patients undergoing gender reassignment. She is undoubtedly one the most highly experienced and successful Laser Hair removal and tattoo ablation experts in the region.
Dr Catherine Bevington
Consultant rheumatologist
Dr Bevington is a senior consultant in rheumatology at the West Suffolk Hospital. She has a degree in natural sciences from Cambridge (1989). Dr Bevington qualified from Oxford University (1997).
She is accredited in both Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine, having trained in central London academic departments and busy East London district general hospitals. Dr Bevington has been working at consultant level since 2007.

Jenny is our warm, welcoming face at the laser clinic reception desk. We have known Jenny throughout her adult life as a family GP and as a dear friend. Having spent 39 years of her career in financial management at Aviva, when we found out that she was looking for happy human contact rather than spreadsheets, we couldn’t wait to get her started. She has never looked back! Bubbly, friendly and confident with high standards, Jenny keeps the front of the house running smoothly.
