While the benefits of laser hair removal are well understood, the science behind how it’s done is something of a mystery. Although maybe not too much of a mystery – the clue, after all, is in the name.
This short film, produced by the good people at Veritasium (a YouTube channel devoted to all things scientific), provides a fascinating glimpse into just what happens when you undergo laser hair removal treatment (although our Soprano laser does it much more gently without the smoke and the drama – it’s all very gentle). As well as seeing how it works close up – with the lasers engaged in an exciting ‘Gunfight at the OK Corral’ shootout with hairs – you can be reassured at just how safe and effective it is.
